BARE/BARE-DI At A Glance
|
Raydon is blazing new
trails in affordable training systems with the BARE/BARE-DI Visuals Application
Programming Interface (API). A visuals API is your training system’s translator,
interpreter and mediator. It provides the link between your training software
and the graphics card in the image generator.
BARE/BARE-DI is the first visuals API designed for
the training industry that is totally hardware independent. With BARE/BARE-DI, you’re
free to choose the commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) graphics
hardware that meets your specs and budget.
Using other visuals APIs is like fitting a
square peg into a round hole. BARE/BARE-DI, on the other hand, is designed specifically
for the simulation training industry, with flexible and granular control of
every parameter in the scene. This absolute control is one of
features missing from other APIs that are based on network |
simulation
architecture (DIS/HLA) and not a true image generator architecture.
BARE/BARE-DI supports authentic image generator-type architectures from laptop and
desktop single channel systems to multi-channel systems connected by 10/100/Gigabit ethernet interfaces and hubs.
Architectures of systems today using BARE/BARE-DI range all the way from single/local
channel laptop and tabletop networked trainers to the massive
6 channel M2 SIMNET system,
recently fielded.
BARE/BARE-DI
couples the software advances of the DirectX/DirectGraphics interface with commercial
graphics cards for visual systems that cost a fraction of
other visuals APIs. To learn more about Raydon’s training products that are
